About This Seminar ...

This rapid-paced, hands-on workshop demystifies the process of capturing business rules and prepares you for a wide variety of circumstances, providing both the generalized and specialized techniques you'll need for success.

To start, the pragmatic techniques you need for any business rules project are explained in-depth. These include how to express and analyze business rules, coordinate business vocabulary, develop an effective rule management strategy, and organize rule-harvest projects.

Then the seminar explores how to capture, analyze and organize rules for knowledge-intensive operational business decisioning. You will be shown how to layout a plan of attack, extract the information you need, identify issues, harvest the rules, and validate the rules with business people. In addition, you will learn about the tricks and perils in doing deep analysis of source documents, using real-life workshop problems.

What Makes This Seminar Unique ...

The business focus of this seminar sets it apart from all others. Rather than platform or system-driven, the techniques are shaped as exercises in encoding business know-how and decision logic as a new branch of pure business analysis.

The seminar contains the distilled knowledge from a decade of intensive experience in harvesting rules from a wide variety of industries, including insurance, banking, regulatory, inspections, utilities, transportation, and more. It is taught by the industry leaders and pioneers in the field, with 35+ collective years of direct research and practice with business rules techniques.

In addition, the techniques presented in this seminar are 100% compliant with OMG's new standard for business vocabulary and business rules, SBVR.
