RONALD G. ROSS
biography
Ronald G. Ross is a Principal of Business Rule Solutions, LLC (www.BRSolutions.com). Mr. Ross is also
Co-Founder and Executive Editor of www.BRCommunity.com, home of the Business Rules Journal. Mr. Ross
is the author of a half-dozen professional books. His newest works on business rules are
Business Rule Concepts (2nd Ed., 2005) and Principles of the Business Rule Approach
(Addison-Wesley, 2003). He is Co-Chair of the annual Business Rules Forum Conference. He was a
charter member of the Business Rules Group in the 1980’s and editor of its two landmark papers,
“Business Motivation Model” and the Business Rules Manifesto. He is also active in the OMG Business
Rules standards development. Mr. Ross is internationally recognized as the “father of business rules”.

GLADYS S.W. LAM

Gladys S.W. Lam is a Principal of Business Rule Solutions, LLC

Journal. Ms. Lam is a world-renowned authority on applied business
rule techniques. She is an experienced and widely acclaimed management
consultant and expert facilitator. Ms. Lam is the Co-Creator of Proteus®, the
BRS Business Rule Methodology. Ms. Lam is also the Executive Director of the
Business Rules Forum Conference, the premier international conference on business rules.

biography
Roger T. Burlton is a true BPM pioneer. He is the founder of
Process Renewal Group and author of the
widely-read book Business Process Management: Profiting from Process. He is considered a global
leader in the introduction of innovative yet practical approaches for process and organizational
change. He is regarded as an engaging speaker and facilitator who is always focused on ensuring
participants’ needs are being met. Mr. Burlton chairs a number of high-profile conferences on
Advanced Business, Process and Information Management around the world each year. To date, he
has conducted over 600 seminars and has presented to over 25,000 professionals. His various

biography
Kathy A. Long is a member of the Process Renewal Group. She has over 18 years of practical process
improvement experience. She divides her time between assisting clients with their process
improvement projects, and training companies in process improvement. She has spoken at
several conferences around the world, including the BPM Conference, Enterprise Architecture
Conference, the Business Rules Forum and the European BPM Conference. To date she has conducted
over 500 seminars and has presented to over 10,000 professionals around the globe.
